Monster High - Adventures of The Ghoul Squad

One of the shows we made at Bardel was an iteration (there have been several) of Monster High, which went to YouTube
The show took the familiar storyline and tried to achieve a 2D/3D hybrid workflow, which also served as a prequel to several methods we would go on to further enhance and elaborate on for The Dragon Prince soon after the completion of this project.

As Model Sup for this show, I had to help to establish a workflow that would lean the geometry to a 2D style clip-art-esque aesthetic, both in the characters and the environments, which had us working very much in tandem with the design department as lot of detail is art projected on to simple geometry etc. Working with Design and Rigging and Surfacing to help achieve characters that had some flexibility without heavily leaning in to our usual 3D approaches was a bit of a trick to manage also, but it was an opportunity to try something new which also helped to birth a more robust workflow and aesthetic for The Dragon Prince later on.
