VeggieTales In The House (And In The City)

This show kinda brought me back to my roots in a way, and also established a new direction for my life being the catalyst for my move from New Zealand to Canada

Not only had my original Demo Reel (when I studied back in 1999/2000) actually have me do my own version of a veggieTales story (which I called FruityTales, cause....that's original)

But, eventually I actually went on to work on the original brand of VeggieTales (when they were DVD specials etc, prior to Dreamworks acquiring the rights to Classic Media productions).
I had also worked on multiple Nickelodeon shows in NZ, prior to Dreamworks starting their own TV animation division, which also meant the transfer of a lot of their core team and workflows etc.
Add the two together, a history with the show, and familiarity with the shows new owners workflow, and, it was a natural fit to help to bring this show to life.

This show also moved me in a new direction (literally) from New Zealand, to Canada, where I currently still am (and am now a citizen!).

All in all, this show was a great stepping stone in to a exciting new stage of life, while working with people and a product that I held a lot of nostalgia and familiarity for me. It was my first production at Bardel Entertainment, which I stayed at for 5 years, working on various shows like The Dragon Prince, Angry Birds, Jake and The Neverland Pirates, Monster High, and Mack and Moxie

I'll always be thankful to this show (original and new) for helping to open so many doors to me over the last couple decades.
