VeggieTales - Various DVDs

Working on VeggieTales was a bit of a dream for me, and at this stage of my career (about 6 years in) probably the highest profile thing I had the opportunity to work on yet, and it opened up a stream of opportunities for me later on (including working on a future version of VeggieTales with updated designs/concept)

At that time, outsourcing to international studios was still a little tricky than our current "Work From Home" kinda setups that we now have. so the opportunities to pull in work from overseas wasn't as plenty as they are now.

My role was Modeling Sup, and we looked after all the sets props and characters (which were ingested and adapted to our own pipeline), along with the constantly new characters that came with each storyline (and costume updates etc). Each DVD going to unique locations/time periods gave us a lot of variation in the worlds we were creating also.

By the time I worked on Veggies, it had already been around probably 15 years or so. Well established, and at the point I got to partake, they had moved away from telling straight conversions (excuse the pun) of bible stories, to veering more towards modern storytales and telling them uniquely, like Minnesota Cuke (a homage to Indiana Jones), and Pistacchio (retelling of Pinocchio).

The work we did over those couple years covered about 4 DVD specials, each with their own Silly Songs, etc, and I think there was some really nice work done during this timeframe.
